Meetings

Regular club meetings are held the second Saturday of every month at 6pm with the exception of July and December. In July, we have our Members Only Summer Picnic and December is our Members Only Holiday Party and awards presentation. The schedule for meetings, speakers, auctions, and other club events is listed on the home page and information on upcoming speakers is below on this page.

Format:
On the typical meeting night, the doors open at 5:30pm with a social period until 6:00pm. At the start of the meeting all club business will be discussed. This lasts anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the agenda. Usually there is another brief break that allows the program or speaker time to set-up.
After the intermission, the program begins and typically lasts for 45 minutes to an hour. The topics of these programs can be as wide as the hobby itself. Sometimes it is a video or local club member while at other times it is a well known speaker from the hobby such as Ad Konings, Karen Randall or Bob Fenner.
At the conclusion of the program, the club members set up for a mini-auction of fish and aquarium related goods. Typically this lasts anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. We also have a raffle of donated goods from our sponsors.
On average, the meetings last until 8:30 or 9:00 pm with a late dinner afterwards for anyone who wants to go out with our guest speaker.
